🔷 This book represents the second part of one of the series on the history of Al-Andalus, which is the (Ibn Al-Radi Series), the author of the book (Tareekh 'Ulama' Al-Andalus), who made Ibn Bashkuwal’s book (Al-Sila) an appendix to it. Ibn Bashkuwal completed the writing of Al-Sila in the year 534 AH. Ibn Al-Abar said: (Ibn Bashkuwal authored fifty writings in various fields, the most prominent of which is the book Al-Sila. His peers acknowledged his sufficiency in it, and no one in his craft contested his precedence in it, nor did they deny its virtue. They were eager to access it, and they benefited fairly from it. Ibn Al-Aref carried it from him, and he is considered among his teachers).
His focus in the book was on those who traveled in search of jurisprudence and hadith from the people of Al-Andalus, whether they lived there or traveled away from it. The book contains many rare stories about their news.
