As for shirk in the text, it happened after the ascension of Jesus -peace be upon him- to the sky, at the hands of the Jewish (the heretic), who outwardly showed faith in Christ but secretly deceived, leading to the Christian religion adopting the Trinity and the worship of the cross, which is visible from paganism.
