Mohammed Abdullah bin Dhiya, the author's word - Praise be to Allah, Lord of the worlds, and prayers and peace be upon the master of the messengers, and upon his family and companions all together, to proceed: Allah, Glorified be His praise, granted this humble servant success in writing various books in interpretation, hadith, jurisprudence, creed, religions, and others, and praise be to Allah for that, much praise. Then Allah, the Most High, granted me success to compile this blessed book: The Complete Comprehensive in Authentic Hadith. Its subject: collecting authentic hadiths in one collection. Its compilation took about twenty consecutive years. I worked during that time day and night, cut off from visits and meetings, leaving travels and journeys, and apologizing for attending seminars and conferences, so that this "collection", God willing, would be a beacon of guidance for lovers of the Sunnah of the chosen one, and those following his perfect way, and those tracing his fragrant biography, and following his good example. And praise be to Allah, by whose blessing good deeds are completed. This blessed work was completed, praise be to Allah and His success, at the House of Hijra of the chosen one, also called the House of the Sunnah, in an environment filled with knowledge and faith during the prosperous and blessed Saudi era, adorned with the application of the Book and Sunnah, since the unification of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia under the great King Abdulaziz Al Saud, may Allah have mercy on him, until today. It will remain strong and victorious, God willing, as long as Allah wills, because it supports religion, and Allah supports those who support Him. The first edition was issued in 1436 AH from Dar Al-Salam Library in Riyadh. I am pleased to present a summary of the Complete Collection based on various reasons, including: the first reason: to assist many students of knowledge who wish to memorize the hadith of the Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, due to his saying: "May Allah help the one who hears a hadith from us and preserves it until he conveys it to others. Perhaps a person with good memory will be guided to someone more knowledgeable, and perhaps a person with good memory is not a scholar," reported by Tirmidhi, and he authenticated it (2656). The second reason: since the Complete Collection contains many detailed discussions that benefit only scholars and researchers in the sciences of hadith, I saw fit to make this summary free from those discussions so that the general Muslims can benefit more easily. The third reason: many Muslims who do not know Arabic requested that this blessed book be translated into their languages so they can benefit from it. Since the Complete Collection covers many issues of the sciences of hadith such as extraction, explaining defects, reconciling different narrations, and others, and foreign languages may not be able to accommodate all these issues in translation, and since readers of those languages are not in need of all these details, I decided to summarize it for translation into foreign languages. I paid special attention in this summary to mention the hadith fully at least once, attribute it to its narrator, and clarify its ruling as agreed upon, authentic, or good, so that the reader can be assured of its authenticity. I have omitted in the summary all weak and defective hadiths that I mentioned in the Complete Collection under each chapter because they do not meet the criteria of the Complete Collection. The numbering of the hadith in this summary corresponds to the numbering in the original book, The Complete Collection, in its second edition, numbered. I ask Allah, Glorified and Exalted, to make this blessed work purely for His Face, and a means of uniting the word of the Ummah on the Book and Sunnah, which our Prophet, beloved, and intercessor called to. He is Hearing, Near, and Responding to supplications. And prayers and peace be upon our Prophet Muhammad, and upon his family and companions. Medina, 1440 AH – 2019 CE. The author, may Allah forgive him.
