Ali Adam Musa Ethiopian Introduction In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful All praise is due to Allah, we praise Him, seek His help, and ask for His forgiveness. We seek refuge in Allah from the evil of ourselves and from our bad deeds. Whomever Allah guides, there is none to misguide him; and whomever He misguides, there is none to guide him. I bear witness that there is no deity but Allah alone, with no partner, and I bear witness that Muhammad is His servant and Messenger. O you who have believed, fear Allah as He should be feared and do not die except as Muslims. [Al-Imran: 102] O mankind, fear your Lord, who created you from a single soul and created from it its mate, and dispersed from both many men and women. And fear Allah, through whom you ask one another, and the wombs. Indeed, Allah is ever over you an Observer. [An-Nisa: 1] O you who have believed, fear Allah and speak words that are straight and true. [Al-Ahzab: 70] He will amend for you your deeds and forgive you your sins. And whoever obeys Allah and His Messenger has certainly attained a great victory. [Al-Ahzab: 70-71] After that: This is a beneficial explanation—God willing—placed upon my poetry called: "The Gift of the Noble in the Important Matters of the Science of Criticism and Adjustment." It resolves what is surprising about its structures and clarifies what is difficult in its meanings for its readers. And I ask Allah to make it sincere for His Noble Face and beneficial for me and everyone who receives it with a sound heart. Indeed, He is Generous, Merciful, and Compassionate to His servants. And I named it: "Clarification of the Path in Explaining the Gift of the Noble in the Important Matters of the Science of Criticism and Adjustment." I seek only to bring about reform as much as I can, and my success is only by Allah. Upon Him I rely, and to Him I turn. [Hud: 88]
