A memorandum on the Wasitiyyah creed

In the name of Allah, the Most Merciful, the Most Compassionate Praise be to Allah, Lord of the worlds, and peace and blessings be upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, companions, and all. To proceed: This is a reminder for the important part of the curriculum for the second secondary year in the scientific institutes in the field of Tawhid, based on the Aqeedah Al-Wasitiya of Sheikh Islam Ibn Taymiyah. We ask Allah to benefit from it as He benefited from its original; indeed, He is the Generous, Noble. Sheikh al-Islam Ibn Taymiyah: He is the knowledgeable, distinguished scholar, Sheikh of Islam, pious in religion, Ahmad ibn Abdul-Halim ibn Abdul-Salam ibn Taimiyah. He was born in Harran on the tenth of Rabi' al-Awwal in the year 661 AH. Then his family moved to Damascus, which became his place of residence. Allah have mercy on him, he was a great scholar, a luminous sign, and a famous mujahid. He struggled for Allah with his mind, thought, knowledge, and body. He was strong in argument; no one could withstand his debate, and he was not hesitant to speak the truth for the sake of Allah when he saw it. Because of this, he faced trials from the rulers and the powerful, was imprisoned many times, and died imprisoned in the Citadel of Damascus on the 20th of Shawwal, 728 AH. Al-Aqidah Al-Wasitiya: A concise comprehensive book summarizing the creed of Ahl al-Sunnah wal-Jama'ah, regarding the names and attributes of Allah, the matter of faith in Allah and the Last Day, and related matters according to the methodology of Ahl al-Sunnah in practice.
