This book contained (316) authenticated texts, some are raised and some are below that, and the author cited them in several chapters, which can be divided into four sections; their explanation is as follows: The first section: contains texts about the dislike of writing knowledge. The second section: the author included an explanation of the reasons why recording knowledge was disliked. The third section: contains texts about the permissibility of writing knowledge, then he clarified that the book preserves knowledge. The fourth section: discusses the virtue of books and what has been said about owning and lending them. The author narrated the texts of the first and second sections without comments, then he began to add some beneficial comments, which address some texts, or dismiss the apparent contradiction between some texts. The author collects the methods of a single text regardless of how many, and mentions them in one place, and if two narrations are collected with one chain, he points out the wording and differences.
