Motherhood in the Holy Quran and the Prophetic Sunnah
This book addresses the importance of the function of motherhood, aiming to demonstrate its giving to human society, and to clarify its impact on the individual's health physically, psychologically, and socially. It also discusses its effect on forming the necessary bonds between family members—the father, mother, children, brothers, relatives, and kin specifically—and on human society in general. Since the mother is the only being whom Allah, the Most High, endowed with the means to carry this message, the study focused on outlining the necessary guidelines to raise a mother at all stages of her development, providing her with knowledge and sciences, habituating her to the noblest types of behavior and manners, and equipping her with capabilities to fulfill life's tasks. It also addressed the qualities that should be present when choosing a wife to be a good mother and housewife, and studied the social problems faced by mothers during their motherhood role, adhering to what is presented in the Holy Quran and the Prophetic Sunnah.
The book is divided into three sections:
Introduction: The mother in Islam and her role in upbringing.
