Abstract: The research came under the title: The Rules of Imam Ibn Qayyim Al-Jawziyyah in Responding to Offenders, and consists of an introduction, an introductory chapter, three chapters, a conclusion, and indexes.
In the introductory chapter, it covered the definition of Imam Ibn Qayyim Al-Jawziyyah, who are the offenders, and the definition of the rules and what is considered their equivalent.
The first chapter [Rules in Responding to Non-Muslims] includes his responses to pagans, the People of the Book, and what these rules contain of responses to them and their deviations.
The second chapter [Rules in Responding to Groups Affiliated with Islam] includes his responses to Muslim philosophers, Ismailis, and Nusayris, and clarifies their deviations and responses to them.
The third chapter [Rules in Responding to Islamic Groups] includes his responses to the Khawarij, Twelver Shiites, and Sufis.
When mentioning these rules, I reviewed Imam’s responses — through what he wrote and authored in response to them, based on the methodology of the Salaf, and those who agreed with them from the later scholars.
The research was concluded with a summary that discussed the most important findings and recommendations I reached.
