What is not permissible in disagreement among Muslims Authored by: Abdul Jaleel Isa Abi Al-Nasr Introduction: Muhammad Amara Subject: Islamic Jurisprudence Type of binding: Cover Type of paper: White Number of pages: 192 Year of printing: 2014 Year of publication: 2014 Edition: 1 Size: 12×20 cm As long as differing opinions are dictated by human nature, Allah has made the fundamentals of this final religion and the main virtues and vices clear in explicit texts that do not accept diversion or interpretation, nor debate or argument, and has warned against manipulating their interpretation and tailoring them to desires and passions. He has excused creation if they differ in other matters. The righteous predecessors from scholars used to excuse each other if they disagreed, and none of them would criticize another’s opinion. Thus, they were closer to the truth. Then, after them, a generation arose who sanctified these opinions, exaggerated in fanaticism for them, and criticized what others held. Their paths diverged, and the routes became complicated for the seeker, distancing them from the primary source — the Book and the Sunnah — to the point that they neglected to consider them, and they quarreled and became enemies just as followers of different religions quarrel and become enemies. In this book, there is a wealth of texts penned by eminent scholars who followed the path of the righteous predecessors, making disagreement — which is a Sunnah of Allah — a source of breadth, which is a blessing from the blessings of this religion, which is all justice, all wisdom, all benefit, all ease, and kindness to all who believe in it and rejoice in what it contains. We ask Allah to grant us success in returning to the way of the early scholars and those who followed them with goodness. Amen.
