Leave a mark before departure Al-Obeikan Group Zaid Muhammad Saleh Al-Munajjid Leave a mark before departure Among the greatest deeds and most pleasing to Allah, the Almighty, are those whose benefit extends to others, because their benefit is not limited to the doer alone but extends to others, even animals. And be a man if people come after you*** who say: "He passed by," and this mark remains. Striving to leave what benefits others is the way of the prophets and messengers, and the duty of those who follow their path and imitate their example, for they are the most beneficial people to others. Allah, the Exalted, said: {In that let the competitors compete} [Al-Mutaffifin: 26] It is authentic from Abu Hazim, who said: I passed with Abu Hurairah over a grave where someone was buried recently, and he said: "Two light rak'ahs are better and lighter than what you belittle and overlook, and these two in his deeds are more beloved to him than the rest of your worldly possessions." The fighting Muslim who exceeds in benefit is the greatest in reward and the best in success. And it is found that a Muslim strives to leave a mark before leaving this world, which benefits people after him, and benefits him in his grave and in the Hereafter. If the two light rak'ahs for the deceased in his grave are better than the world and what is in it, then what do you think about what remains in the world—his righteous offspring and their beneficial deeds? So seize, O Muslim, your life before your death, and your mercy before your sickness. Al-Obeikan for publication
