I found a manuscript among the letters of Sheikh Al-Islam Ibn Taymiyyah, Before it, there is a letter from Sheikh Al-Islam, and after it, there is a letter, And some of them are written (Aqeedah Ibn Taymiyyah). Therefore, they said: “The Mu'allaqa of Sheikh Al-Islam Ibn Taymiyyah,” The Mu'allaqa considering that the rhyme letter is Lām, And considering that it was found among some of his writings, Otherwise, there is nothing indicating that it belongs to Sheikh Al-Islam Ibn Taymiyyah, It was not mentioned in his writings, nor did Ibn Al-Qayyim - may Allah have mercy on him - mention it among Sheikh Al-Islam's works. So they say: it is attributed to Sheikh Al-Islam Ibn Taymiyyah, But the content present in it is true, whether it is for Sheikh Al-Islam or for others - may Allah have mercy on all -. And as long as the content is true, a student of knowledge should pay attention to it, It is a good poem in its brevity, containing what is agreed upon of issues of belief, And a student of knowledge should care for it, memorize it, and look into its explanations, And I do not know of an explanation from the early scholars; because Ahmad Al-Mardawi’s explanation is relatively old, He explained it after Alif and Zay because he quotes from Al-Safarini, and he is later, but not a contemporary, And his explanation was printed forty years ago at the Noor printing presses in Riyadh, And finally printed by Dar Al-Muslim, With comments from Sheikh Saleh Al-Fawzan, And then one of the modern students of knowledge named Youssef Al-Salem explained it, And his explanation is good in general and comprehensive, A student of knowledge can benefit from it along with the explanation of Al-Mardawi.
