Al-Ihsan in the light of the Book and the Sunnah

Introduction: In which the reasons for choosing the topic and its importance are explained, along with the study methodology. Chapter One: The meaning of excellence, its status, levels, and conditions. It contains five sections: Section One: The meaning of excellence, which includes three discussions: - First discussion: Definition of excellence in language. - Second discussion: Definition of excellence in terminology. It includes clarification of the word "excellence" and its derivatives, and what revolves around that material related to the topic through its occurrence in the Quran and Sunnah in contexts with varying connotations. - Third discussion: Terms related to excellence and their connotations, such as perfection and beauty, among others, each in an independent subsection. Section Two: Sources of excellence, which includes three discussions: - First discussion: Authentic transmission. - Second discussion: Sound reasoning. - Third discussion: The status of the mind with the transmission and the danger of its independence from it. Section Three: The status of excellence, which includes three discussions: - First discussion: Clarification of its rank. - Second discussion: Clarification of the texts related to calling for it. - Third discussion: Clarification of the texts prohibiting its opposite. Section Four: The degree of excellence and the ranks of the righteous, which includes two discussions: - First discussion: The rank of witnessing and its meaning. - Second discussion: The degrees of the righteous. Section Five: Conditions of excellence, which includes three discussions: - First discussion: Sincerity. - Second discussion: Following the Prophet’s teachings. - Third discussion: Worshiping Allah as if you see Him. Chapter Two: Types, images, means, and fruits of excellence, and the qualities of the righteous. It contains five sections: Section One: Types of excellence, which includes four discussions: - First discussion: The excellence of the Creator towards the creation. - Second discussion: Human excellence in worshiping Allah, which includes three requirements: - First requirement: Faith-based excellence. - Second requirement: Verbal excellence. - Third requirement: Action-based excellence. - Third discussion: Human excellence towards oneself internally and externally, which includes two requirements: - First requirement: Internal excellence, such as good opinion and similar qualities. - Second requirement: External excellence, such as good dress, food, transportation, and similar. - Fourth discussion: Human excellence towards others, which includes two requirements: - First requirement: Excellence towards humans with the heart, tongue, and limbs: - First: Excellence towards the Muslim, whether close or distant. - Second: Excellence towards the disbeliever, whether close or distant. - Second requirement: Excellence towards non-human creatures, such as angels and animals. Section Two: Means of excellence, which includes four discussions.
