Lamps of Happiness Saud bin Khalid Al-Kabir Al Saud The House of Civilization Indeed, happiness is a beautiful word that all creation seeks: some see it in wealth, others in solitude and worship, and others in position and status, and yet others in contentment and peace of mind. But have we asked ourselves: what is happiness truly? Does it exist fully in this world? And what are its causes? So I began to search for an answer, and I read what has been written about it and reflected on the states of the happy. I came across two books that had a beautiful effect on me: the first, "The Useful Means for a Happy Life" by Sheikh Abdul Rahman Al-Sa'di, may Allah have mercy on him, which he wrote during his illness, and one of his students said about it: "It is as if he entered paradise and came out of it, and will return to it." The second, "The Cup of Happiness" by Dr. Khaled Al-Muneef, in which he gathered insights and causes that lead to happiness. I was affected by both books and collected from their benefits what indicates the happiness sought in this world and the Hereafter, and I spread it before you in this book, "Lamps of Happiness." And that is solely by the grace of Allah, to Him is all praise and thanks.
