The characteristics of the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم in the Noble Quran The Noble and Green Earth Iman Abdullah Omar Al-‘Amoodi Introduction to the second edition | Praise be to Allah alone, and prayers and peace be upon whom there is no prophet after him, and his family, companions, and peace be upon them abundantly and blessedly until the Day of Judgment. To proceed: After the first edition was exhausted, which Allah decreed to be accepted by His grace, favor, and generous kindness, I present to the honorable reader the second edition of the book: The characteristics of the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم in the Noble Quran, a thematic interpretation. Originally, it was my master's thesis, which I defended in 1431 AH, and I obtained the degree with excellent grade and first-class honors from the Department of the Quran and its Sciences, College of Fundamentals of Religion, Imam Muhammad bin Saud Islamic University. I made the second edition expanded and increased, with a summary of what might burden the book with necessary academic research details, keeping what is important to preserve the form of scientific research; perhaps it will benefit future researchers in thematic interpretation, even in small amounts. It is worth mentioning in this context that this book is my first scientific production, after which I authored many other research papers, scientific books, and others. But... the love for the first beloved remains. How could it not? It is a Quranic research, about our noble Prophet, the Adnani Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم, whom our hearts yearn for with longing, and our souls ache for with desire. And how could it not be? It is among the most precious memories that sit in the depths of my heart, touching my ribs and illuminating my side. It rose to the throne in the corners of memory, carrying what remains of my beloved mother’s lamp, who was by my side, chatting with me... reading in the pages of this book with me, asking me sometimes, answering me at other times, and at the third, just praying for him and sending peace. Until I reached the third chapter of it, then I distanced myself from her and from him. I have made myself a sacrifice for her and her preciousness. May Allah have mercy on her, the righteous and good, and on my parents and all Muslims, and gather us with them in the highest gardens, in the company of our Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم. May this work be in her good deeds’ scale. O Allah, Amen. And what I have succeeded in is from Allah, and what I have erred in is from myself, my shortcomings, and my deficiencies. I did not intend the mistake, nor did I spare effort in accuracy and investigation. No work of the son of Adam is complete. So, if any mistake or slip appears to you, dear reader, it is your nature to seek forgiveness and advise. And Allah, the Most High, is the most knowledgeable. May blessings and peace be upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and companions. It was completed in Riyadh, may Allah protect it, on the Day of Arafah, the eighth of Dhu al-Hijjah, 1444 AH. Written by: Hoping for Allah’s forgiveness, and accompanying His Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم D. Iman bint Abdullah Al-‘Amoodi
