Explanation of the virtue Sheikh Abdullah Muhammad Al-Ghunayman
Introduction of Abdullah bin Muhammad Al-Ghunayman
In the name of Allah, the Most Merciful, the Most Compassionate
Praise be to Allah, the One, the Self-Sufficient, who did not beget nor was He begotten, and there is none comparable to Him.
There is no deity but Him, the One who establishes justice.
There is no deity but Him, the Almighty, the Wise.
May Allah's peace and blessings be upon His servant and Messenger, our Prophet Muhammad, and upon his family and all his companions.
To proceed:
The most important thing that a servant does in this life is to work on achieving the worship of Allah Almighty in action, belief, and speech; because this is the way to salvation from punishment and to attain eternal happiness.
That is why the call of the messengers to their nations was for them to do so and to uphold it, as Allah the Most High said:
"We sent among every nation a messenger, [saying], 'Worship Allah and avoid Taghut.'" [An-Nahl: 36]
The seal of the prophets, Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him, called people to worship Allah alone, with no partner, and clarified this in many ways of explanation.
No one among those tasked with worship had an excuse or warning against what opposes worship, given the clear evidence and message Allah provided.
He made this clear to those who accompanied him or studied his biography, peace and blessings be upon him.
Then his companions after him carried this out perfectly, and scholars continued this despite the emergence of innovations and deviations in worship and sincerity of work to Allah.
The further away from the time of prophecy, the more ignorance increased among people.
Therefore, their deviations increased in these later ages, and as deviation and ignorance grew, Allah sent those who call to the monotheism of Allah and sincere worship to Him.
Among the last of them was the caller to Tawhid, Sheikh al-Islam Muhammad bin Abdul Wahhab, may Allah have mercy on him.
One of his great works is his book "Kitab at-Tawhid" (The Book of Monotheism), which spread among students of knowledge.
People are still in dire need of it across the entire earth, and it is worthy of translation into all languages and dissemination among people.
Despite its simple wording and clear meaning, its explanations have increased.
I used to give lessons to students from it, and one of them recorded those lessons, may Allah reward him.
Then he prepared them, and I reviewed and corrected the mistakes as they appeared to me.
It is known that every human work is subject to error, and there will always be something that needs correction or modification.
I pray to Allah to benefit from it, for He is the Most Generous and the Bestower of good.
