Sheikh Ibn Uthaymeen A collection of questions on rulings In the name of Allah, praise be to Allah, the Red Praise Introduction All praise be to Allah, we praise Him, seek His help, and ask for His forgiveness. We seek refuge in Allah from the evil of ourselves and from our bad deeds. Whoever Allah guides, none can misguide him, and whoever He misguides, none can guide him. I bear witness that there is no deity but Allah alone, with no partner, and I bear witness that Muhammad is His servant and Messenger. Allah sent him with guidance and the religion of truth, he conveyed the message, fulfilled the trust, advised the nation, and struggled in Allah’s cause with true effort until certainty came to him. May Allah’s blessings and peace be upon him, his family, his companions, and those who follow them with goodness until the Day of Judgment. As for what follows: This is a collection of seventy questions regarding fasting and its rulings. Please proceed with answering them, our Sheikh, the scholar Muhammad bin Salih al-Uthaymeen — may Allah have mercy on him. In accordance with the principles and directives set by his virtue to produce his scientific legacy, and in an effort to disseminate benefit from it — by Allah’s permission — this scientific material has been prepared for printing and publishing. We ask Allah to make this work purely for His face, in accordance with His pleasure, beneficial to His servants, and to reward our Sheikh for Islam and the Muslims with the best reward, to multiply his reward and virtue, and to elevate his rank among the guided. Indeed, He is Hearing, Near. May Allah’s blessings and peace be upon His servant and Messenger, the Seal of the Prophets, the leader of the pious, and the master of the first and the last, our Prophet Muhammad, and upon his family, his companions, and those who follow them with goodness until the Day of Judgment.
