Amusing the eyes with what is gathered from the appearances of the notebooks, Volume 1

In the name of الرحمن الرحيم Praise be to الله رب العالمين, and blessings and peace be upon our Prophet محمد and his family and companions altogether. To proceed: Reading in books of الرجال تراجم (biographies) is among the greatest aids in طلب العلم (seeking knowledge), along with what it contains of إجمام (calming) النفس (the soul) after كثرة (much) البحث (search) and مراجعة (review) of scientific مسائل (issues). It is for طالب العلم (the student of knowledge) a نزهة (outing) that stimulates him to continue البحث (search) and مراجعة (review). Books of التراجم (biographies) are full of فوائد (benefits), stories, حكم (wisdom), أمثال (examples), آداب (manners), and أخلاق (ethics). Among the الكتب (books) that contain this is كتاب تهذيب الكمال (Tahdhib al-Kamal) by الحافظ المزي رحمه الله (Al-Hafiz al-Mizzi, may الله have mercy on him). It is one of the الكتب (books) I frequently review to understand the حال (state) of الرواة (narrators), and I often come across many فوائد (benefits). It occurred to me to جمع (collect) what I found من (from) what I liked منها (of it), to be used for المذاكرة (review) when needed, as قال أبو حاتم لله (Abu Hatim for الله): "Write the أحسن (best) what you تسمع (hear), and حافظ (memorize) the أحسن (best) what you تكتب (write), and ذاكر (review) with the أحسن (best) what you تحفظ (preserve)." (1) And الله blessed me with reading this الكتاب (book) from beginning to end, except for what I repeated مراجعة (review) when needed. Then I wrote down on papers مواضع (places) that contained stories, حكم (wisdom), آداب (manners), and أخلاق (ethics). Both الأخ عبد العزيز بن محمد الجريسي (Brother Abdul Aziz bin Muhammad Al-Juraisi) and ابن عبد الله بن عبد المحسن الزامل (Ibn Abdullah bin Abdul-Mohsin Al-Zamil) collected and described them. May الله reward them خير (good) for what they did, and بارك (bless) in them. I ask الله أن (that) it benefit me and those who read it. آمين (Ameen). Then I point out that, الحمد لله (praise be to الله), I have other material of this نوع (type), which I collected before جمع (collecting) what is in this book from some طبقات (classes/levels) of the مشهورة (famous) Hanbali scholars. I will, بإذن الله (by God's permission), organize it and then إخراج (publish) it, asking الله أن (that) He grants me and my Muslim brothers الإخلاص (sincerity) in القول (speech) and العمل (action). آمين (Ameen).
