Commentary on the Islamic law policy in reforming the shepherd and the flock

To the esteemed Sheikh, the scholar Muhammad bin Salih al-Uthaymeen, may Allah forgive him, and his parents, and the Muslims. In the name of Allah, the Most Merciful, the Most Compassionate. All praise be to Allah; we praise Him, seek His help, and ask for His forgiveness. We seek refuge in Allah from the evil of ourselves and from the evil of our deeds. Whomever Allah guides, there is none to misguide him, and whomever He misguides, there is none to guide him. I bear witness that there is no deity but Allah alone, with no partner, and I bear witness that Muhammad is His servant and Messenger. May Allah send blessings upon him, his family, his companions, and those who follow them with goodness until the Day of Judgment, and grant them abundant peace. After that: Indeed, from Allah’s (Glory and Majesty) - and to Him be praise and thanks - is the success that He granted to the owner of the virtue, the scholar Sheikh Muhammad bin Salih al-Uthaymeen - may Allah have mercy on him - to comment on the book of the (Shariah Policy) in reforming the shepherd and the flock by Sheikh al-Islam Taqi al-Din Ahmad Abdul Halim ibn Abdul Salam ibn Taimiya al-Harrani, who died in the year 728 AH. May Allah envelop him with His vast mercy and satisfaction, settle him in His spacious gardens, and reward him for what he has presented for Islam and Muslims with the best reward. This recorded audio commentary was during the period from 5/6/1414 AH to 14/9/1414 AH, as part of the scholarly lessons held by him at his university in Bani Yas. And indeed, - may Allah have mercy on him - emphasized the importance of this book by Sheikh al-Islam ibn Taimiya, may Allah have mercy on him, and paid great attention to it, saying: "It is appropriate for every responsible person in any interest to read it and to consider what is in it, because it is very beneficial." And in pursuit of spreading benefit through these scholarly comments, and in implementation of the rules and directions set by our Sheikh - may Allah have mercy on him - for producing his writings and lessons, the scientific department of the (Sheikh Muhammad bin Salih al-Uthaymeen Khayriyya Foundation) reviewed the book in this edition, benefiting from the notes of dear readers on the first edition of the book in 1427 AH. We ask Allah to make this work purely for His noble face, in accordance with His satisfaction, beneficial to His servants, and to reward our Sheikh for Islam and Muslims with the best reward, to admit him into His spacious gardens, to multiply his repentance and reward, and to elevate his rank among the martyrs. Indeed, He is Hearing, Near, and All-Compassionate. And may Allah send blessings and peace upon His servant and Messenger, the Seal of the Prophets, the leader of the pious, and the master of the first and the last, our Prophet Muhammad, and upon his family, companions, and followers with goodness until the Day of Judgment.
