The preparations of Saad Saeed Al-Hajri Guidance of the Lord of the Servants in explaining the Light of Creed In the name of Allah, the Most Merciful, the Most Compassionate Introduction Praise be to Allah, the All-Knowing, the All-Wise, who does whatever He wills, and He is the All-Hearing, the All-Seeing. In His Hand is the command and the decree, and to Him is the return and the destination. I bear witness that there is no deity but Allah alone, with no partner, nothing in the earth or in the heavens can hinder Him, and He is capable of all things. And I bear witness that our master Muhammad is His servant and Messenger, the bearer of good news and the light-bringer, may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him, whenever the people of faith increase in faith, and the people of knowledge increase in knowledge. And upon his family, his companions, and those who follow his way until the Day of Judgment. As for what follows: The best provision is the provision of piety, and the best clothing is the clothing of piety, and the best of servants are the guided ones, and the worst of servants are those driven by desires. Allah has created us upon guidance: *“The fitrah of Allah with which He has created mankind. There is no change in Allah’s creation. That is the straight religion, but most people do not know.”* [Ar-Rum: 30] And Allah sent us a Messenger inviting us to guidance and warning us against desires and ruin. Allah, the Exalted, says: *“And indeed, you guide to a straight path.”* [Ash-Shura: 52] The nation has been blessed by following the straight path of Allah, believing in this world and the Hereafter. Among the signs of guidance, and as a warning against desires, and as a barrier between the servant and ruin, and as a revelation of the true nature of this world and a motivation for the Hereafter, is learning beneficial sciences that lead to Paradise. He says: *“Whoever follows a path in pursuit of knowledge, Allah will make easy for him a path to Paradise.”* (1) And Allah has blessed me with teaching the book “Light of Creed” and “The Guide to the Path of Righteousness” in my mosque located in Al-Ghaleez. I have summarized “Light” in a way that is not lacking, focusing on a few beneficial points, and I have strived to simplify the language so that it is known to all classes of people and understood by all segments of society. I relied solely on Allah in clarifying the truth of the issues presented, dividing what needs division to facilitate understanding and memorization, and I have extracted its hadiths. I ask Allah to reward everyone who helped with this, and to inspire them. I have named this explanation: *“Guidance of the Lord of the Servants in explaining the Light of Creed.”* And I ask Allah to make the work sincerely for Him, to make knowledge beneficial, and to make it among the deeds that do not cease after death. May Allah’s peace and blessings be upon our master Muhammad, his family, and his companions. This was said and written by the humble servant to his Lord, Saad bin Saeed Al-Hajri.
