It also helps maintain a moist environment suitable for healing. Calcium alginate fibers in Medihoney Apinate Dressing absorb excess fluids from the wound, helping to prevent infection and promote wound healing. Clean the wound with warm water and sterile soap. Remove the protective cover from the dressing. Place the dressing on the wound and leave it in place. If the wound is bleeding, place a pressure dressing over Medihoney Apinate Dressing. Change the dressing as needed.
