Soma 215 The SOMA 215 (SM-250.5) wheelchair is designed for daily use. You can choose between a push wheelchair or a self-propelled wheelchair. It is equipped with swing-away footrests that use a simple mechanism to move the footrest without detaching from the wheelchair. In addition to its very lightweight, this aluminum wheelchair can be folded into a small size and easily stored in a car trunk. Swing-away footrest with my invention The swing-away footrest uses a simple mechanism to move the footrest without detaching from the wheelchair. Just lift the footrest and swing it away to free up space for the legs. Never worry about losing your footrest again. Seat height from the ground The 45 cm high seat from the ground allows users who still have leg function to push the wheelchair with their legs on the ground. It also allows users with a small body size to sit comfortably on the chair. Compact and lightweight The SOMA 215 weighs only 9.9 kg, making it very lightweight and easy to carry. It can also be folded into a small size to fit into a small car trunk. Detachable seating system The innovative detachable seating system makes it easy to detach and clean the upholstery. Simply undo the holders and pull the seat out. It also enhances surface support to help avoid rocking effects. Oval-shaped frame system The frame is manufactured using the fewest components, reducing the number of weld points, thereby improving the wheelchair’s durability and appearance. Comfortable push handle The handle is designed according to the shape of the hand, allowing for easier grip and more comfortable pushing. Brake options are also available. Foot lift The foot lift makes it easier for caregivers to push the wheelchair over thresholds or edges. Just press the tilt lever with one foot to tilt the wheelchair backward and then lift it over the obstacle. Anti-slip footplate The anti-slip footplate improves foot positioning and prevents the foot from slipping off the footplate.
