Aralia plant, also called Balfour Aralia and Aralia, because its leaves resemble a plate. Its scientific name is Polyscias balfouriana and its original habitat is Southeast Asia. It has several varieties, and it is suitable for bonsai cultivation. Caring for it requires a warm, humid environment and bright lighting. The appropriate temperature is between 18-25 degrees Celsius. It can be pruned from any direction to promote new leaves and branches. It should be watered after the top 2 cm of soil dries out, as overwatering may cause leaf drop. It is good to wash it regularly to provide humidity and prevent pests. If it gets infested with pests, all leaves can be removed and the branches sprayed with a mixture of water and soap, and it will grow back again. It is fertilized with liquid fertilizer once a month from March to September, making sure to apply fertilizer when the soil has some moisture; it is not proper to fertilize when the soil is dry. Dry ambient air causes most problems, such as leaf drop or leaf tip dryness. Leaves may also fall due to sudden temperature changes. It is preferable to change the pot every two years in summer or spring, but if changed outside these times, there is no problem. Propagation is done by pruning and air layering. It is a low-maintenance, evergreen plant.
