The Kentia plant or Kentia, also called Howea belmoreana, has feathered leaves and thin green stems, from beautiful indoor plants that tolerate drought and low maintenance excellently, in addition to its beautiful shape that adds a touch of natural green beauty to the place. Its edges are covered with spines and bristles (hairs). The Kentia palm can grow up to more than two meters if given proper care. It is known to withstand difficult indoor conditions. It tolerates temperatures as low as 16 degrees Celsius, and it is preferable not to go below this temperature, knowing that it can tolerate even 12 degrees Celsius, but at the expense of good growth. It withstands dry air but prefers humidity, especially during extreme heat, and it is recommended to spray it with water mist from time to time. It likes bright, filtered light away from direct sunlight. Watering should be moderate in summer and less in winter, and the plant should be fertilized during the summer. It is best to change the pot every two to three years, but only during the spring. Propagation is by seeds, although it is a difficult method.
