Galfas Met 50/850 mg tablets, active ingredient: Vildagliptin + Metformin. Medical uses of Galfas Met 850/50 tablets: It is referred to as an adjunct to diet and exercise to improve blood sugar control in patients who are not adequately controlled with Metformin Hydrochloride or Vildagliptin alone. How to use Galfas Met 850/50 tablets: It should be taken with meals to reduce gastrointestinal side effects associated with Metformin Hydrochloride. It can start with a dose of 50 mg / 500 mg once daily and be gradually adjusted to a maximum dose of 50 mg / 1000 mg twice daily after evaluating your response to treatment. Higher doses of 100 mg Vildagliptin are not recommended. Dose adjustments may be made in special circumstances, so always follow your doctor’s or pharmacist’s instructions. If you take more than the prescribed dose, talk to your doctor or go to the hospital immediately. If you forget to take a dose, take it as soon as you remember unless it is time for the next dose. Do not take a double dose (two doses at the same time) to make up for the missed one. Moderate or severe liver problems. Severe kidney impairment. Heart failure. Acute metabolic acidosis or diabetic ketoacidosis. Tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are currently taking, have recently taken, or might take any other medications, including over-the-counter drugs, prescribed medicines, herbal supplements, vitamins, and other supplements. Storage of Galfas Met 850/50 tablets: Store at a temperature below 25°C. Do not refrigerate the medication. Keep this medicine out of the sight and reach of children.
