Ceclor 500 capsules active ingredient Ceclor Ceclor broad-spectrum antibiotic containing Ceclor, which belongs to the second-generation cephalosporin group of drugs, works to eliminate gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria by inhibiting cell wall formation, destroying them, and killing the bacteria. Do not use Ceclor if you are allergic to the active ingredients or any other components of this medication, or to other cephalosporin or penicillin drugs. Precautions and warnings Consider pseudomembranous colitis in case of diarrhea. Ceclor should be used with caution in case of significant kidney impairment. Prolonged use of Ceclor may lead to increased growth of resistant organisms. If an infection occurs during treatment, appropriate measures should be taken. Positive direct Coombs tests have been reported during cephalosporin antibiotic treatment. A false positive glucose in urine may occur with copper sulfate test strips. Other medications and Ceclor: Regular monitoring of prothrombin time is recommended when taking warfarin and Ceclor. How to use Ceclor Ceclor is taken orally. Adults: The usual adult dose is 250 mg every eight hours. In severe infections or those caused by less sensitive organisms, doses may be doubled. In case of dialysis: It is recommended to load with a dose of 250 mg – 1 g before dialysis, and a therapeutic dose of 250-500 mg every six to eight hours between dialysis sessions. Children: The usual daily dose for children is 20 mg/kg/day divided into doses every eight hours. Possible side effects Stop using the product and seek medical attention immediately if you experience hives, rash, chest tightness, wheezing, or low blood pressure. Storage of Ceclor Store at temperatures below 25°C. Keep the container tightly closed to protect from light. There are no special disposal requirements.
