Hymox 500 mg capsules

Haimox 500 mg capsule antibiotic contains amoxicillin from the penicillin family, works to eliminate bacteria causing infection, and is used to treat a wide range of bacterial infections. It is not beneficial for treating viral infections such as colds and influenza. Indications for use: - Nasal, ear, and throat infections - Sore throat and laryngitis - Otitis media - Sinusitis - Respiratory infections - Bronchitis - Pneumonia - Lower respiratory tract infections Other uses: - Urinary and genital infections - Skin infections - Bile duct infections - Prevention of bacterial endocarditis - Treatment of Helicobacter pylori (within a treatment protocol) - Lyme disease and anthrax Dosage and method of use: - The usual dose: 250 – 500 mg three times daily (every 8 hours) according to doctor’s instructions - Can be taken with or without food (preferably with food to avoid stomach upset) - The treatment course should be completed even if symptoms improve Contraindications: - Allergy to amoxicillin - Allergy to penicillin or cephalosporins Possible side effects: - Diarrhea - Nausea and stomach upset - Skin rash - Change in stool color - Rarely: difficulty breathing or chest pain Precautions: - Use with caution in cases of asthma and liver or kidney diseases - During breastfeeding under medical supervision - May reduce the effectiveness of birth control pills - Long-term use may cause additional fungal or bacterial infections Drug interactions: - Should be avoided with: - Probenecid - Allopurinol - Methotrexate - Warfarin - Tetracycline or chloramphenicol - Birth control pills Pharmaceutical forms: - Capsules: 250 mg, 500 mg - Tablets: 875 mg - Oral suspension for children Storage conditions: - Keep in a tightly closed container away from heat, moisture, and light.
