Candefast 150 mg capsule is a medication used to eliminate fungi as it contains fluconazole, which has an effective impact in eliminating fungi, treating infections, and getting rid of yeasts like Candida. It is also used to treat fungal infections of the reproductive organs that affect the vagina and penis. Indications for use: - Treatment of infections caused by fungi. - Antifungal. - Treatment of fungal infections of the reproductive organs that affect the vagina. - Treatment of oral, throat, esophageal, and abdominal fungal infections. - Treatment of fungal infections of the nails. - Treatment of fungal infections of the skin. - Treatment of fungal infections of the prostate. - Treatment of membrane infections in the brain and spinal cord. How to use Candefast 150 mg capsule: This medication is intended for adults, and a doctor may prescribe it for a child if necessary. Take the medication as your doctor indicated. Take the medication with or without food with a full glass of water. For reproductive infections, the recommended dose is 150 mg as a single dose. In cases of oral and throat infections, the recommended dose is 200 mg on the first day, followed by 100 mg once daily. For meningitis (swelling in the brain due to infection), the recommended dose is 400 mg on the first day, then 200 mg to 400 mg once daily. For internal fungal infections, the recommended doses are 800 mg on the first day, then 400 mg once daily. For fungal infections of the skin and nails, depending on the site of infection, the recommended doses are 50 mg once daily, or 150 mg once weekly, or 300 to 400 mg once weekly. Doses may be adjusted in special circumstances, so always follow your doctor’s or pharmacist’s instructions. If you take more than the prescribed dose, talk to your doctor or go to the hospital immediately. If you forget to take a dose, take it as soon as you remember unless it is time for the next dose. Do not take a double dose (two doses at the same time) to make up for the missed one.
