Motilium tablets

Motilium tablets active ingredient Domperidone medical uses specific for Motilium tablets used in adults to treat the following symptoms: nausea (feeling nauseous) and vomiting (illness), fullness or bloating, discomfort in the stomach area, or when stomach contents return to the esophagus, as with belching and heartburn. How to use Motilium tablets treatment duration: symptoms usually disappear within 3-4 days of taking this medication. Do not take Domperidone tablets for more than 7 days without consulting a doctor. Swallow the tablets whole with water. Take the tablets before meals, and if necessary, before sleep. Unless prescribed otherwise by the doctor, the recommended dose is: Adults and adolescents aged 12 years or older and weighing 35 kg or more: the usual dose is one tablet up to three times a day, preferably before meals. Do not take more than three tablets (equivalent to 30 mg Domperidone) per day. Use in children and adolescents from birth up to less than 35 kg body weight: tablets are not suitable for children weighing less than 35 kg. Dose adjustments may be made in some special cases, so always follow your doctor’s or pharmacist’s instructions. If you take more than you should, talk to a doctor or go to the hospital immediately. If you forget to take a dose, take it as soon as you remember unless it is time for the next dose. Do not take a double dose (two doses at the same time) to make up for the missed dose. Side effects of Motilium tablets rare (may occur in up to 1 in 1000 people): abnormal breast milk production in men and women, breast enlargement in men, decreased libido (sex drive) in men, in women, menstrual periods may be irregular or stop, mild stomach cramps. Very rare (may occur in up to 1 in 10,000 people): itchy, raised rash. Blood tests may show changes in liver function. Using Motilium tablets during pregnancy and breastfeeding If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, think you may be pregnant, or planning to have a baby, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking this medication.
