Amoxycillin 500 mg Capsule Amoxycillin is used specifically for treating infections caused by bacteria in different parts of the body. It can also be used in combination with other medications to treat stomach ulcers. Active ingredients: Amoxycillin 500 mg Pharmaceutical form: Capsules. Do not take Amoxycillin capsules: If you are allergic to Amoxycillin or Penicillin or any other ingredients of this medication. If you have any allergic reaction to any antibiotic. Talk to your doctor or pharmacist before taking Amoxycillin capsules if: You have glandular fever (fever, sore throat, swollen glands, and severe fatigue). You have kidney problems. You do not urinate regularly. Possible side effects: Stop taking Amoxycillin capsules and see a doctor immediately if you notice any of the following serious side effects — you may need urgent medical treatment: Allergy. Rash or round, flat red spots under the skin or skin bruising. A delayed allergic reaction can occur usually after 7 to 12 days of taking the capsules. Skin sensitivity. Fever, chills, sore throat, or other signs of infection. Other medications and Amoxycillin capsules: Tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking, have recently taken, or might take any other medications. If you are taking Allopurinol. If you are taking Probenecid. If you are taking medications to help stop blood clotting. If you are taking other antibiotics. If you are taking Methotrexate. How to take Amoxycillin capsules: The usual dose of Amoxycillin capsules is 250 mg to 500 mg three times a day or 750 mg to 1 gram every 12 hours, depending on the severity and type of infection. Precautions and warnings: Keep this medication out of sight and reach of children. Do not use this medication after the expiration date printed on the packaging. The expiration date refers to the last day of that month. Store in the original packaging at a temperature below 30°C.
