Product description

Sefix 100 mg Syrup Active ingredient: Sefixim 100 mg/5 ml suspension Sefixim is a cephalosporin taken orally. Like penicillin, it is an antibiotic from the beta-lactam family. It works by binding to certain proteins located inside the bacterial cell wall, thereby preventing the formation of the bacterial cell wall. Without a cell wall, the bacterial cell is exposed to external water and external pressures, leading to the rapid death of the bacteria. Medical uses of Sefix syrup Used to treat the following acute infections caused by some sensitive bacteria: Upper respiratory tract infections (URTI): for example, middle ear infection when the causative organism is known or suspected to be resistant to other commonly used antibiotics, or where treatment failure could lead to significant risks. Lower respiratory tract infections: for example, bronchitis. Urinary tract infections: for example, cystitis and pyelonephritis without serious complications.
