How to use Hydrochlorothiazide
Hydrochlorothiazide can only be obtained with a prescription, used for long-term treatment, and can be taken before or after meals. It should be used according to the doctor’s instructions to avoid risks.
Sudden discontinuation or non-use of the medication can cause blood pressure to rise quickly, and swelling in the body may increase, potentially leading to a heart attack or stroke.
If a dose is missed or not taken on time, the medication may not work properly. Medical care should be sought if an extra dose is taken or in case of overdose, as hydrochlorothiazide can cause severe low blood pressure.
