Product description

Bai - Briterax tablets, blood pressure lowering medicines, active ingredient perindopril and indapamide, method of action perindopril and indapamide, perindopril belongs to the "ACE inhibitors" group, which is a class of medicines primarily used to treat high blood pressure and heart failure. They work by causing relaxation and dilation of blood vessels as well as decreasing blood volume, leading to lower blood pressure and reduced oxygen consumption by the heart. Additionally, perindopril prevents the conversion of angiotensin 1 to angiotensin 2 and prevents the breakdown of vasodilator prostaglandins, which reduces vasoconstriction regulated by angiotensin 2 and promotes vasodilation. Indapamide has a dual mechanism of action: it acts as a diuretic on the distal part of the nephron in the kidneys and as a vasodilator, both contributing to lowering blood pressure. Special medical uses of Bai-Briterax tablets are used in patients whose blood pressure is not adequately controlled with perindopril or indapamide alone. Hypertension is a common condition where the long-term force of blood against the artery walls is high enough to eventually cause health problems, such as heart disease. Lowering blood pressure reduces the risk of deadly and non-deadly cardiovascular diseases, especially stroke and myocardial infarction.
