The CONTOUR®Next measurement device uses CONTOUR®Next test strips to provide an extremely accurate result. The MULTI PULSE technology evaluates the sample multiple times through seven pulses to ensure accurate results. Simple: insert the gray end of the CONTOUR®Next test strip into the measurement device. Gently touch the test strip to a drop of blood and keep it until the device beeps. The results are displayed after a 5-second countdown. The device turns off automatically once the test strip is removed to preserve the battery. Instructions for use: wash your hands with warm water and mild soap to ensure they are dry before using this device. Take the sterile test strip and insert it into the test strip slot on the screen. The drop icon will appear on the screen, indicating that the screen is ready for use. Use a sterile lancet to prick the side of your finger. Hold the finger at an angle so that one side of the test strip touches the blood drop. When the blood touches, it is drawn into the test strip. The screen will start a 5-second countdown. The reading appears with the unit, date, and time on the screen.
