El Salvador Tres Potros 227g - The Roasting House

We meet annually with the Mendez brothers on our trips to explore coffee plantations, farmers and their stories around the world. Tres Potros in Spanish means "the three horses," a reference to the three brothers, and today the farm is run by Carlos, Gerardo and their families. The two brothers’ crops were crowned with several awards, including the Elite Cup for several years, awards for the best crops of El Salvador and the “Presidential Coffee” award. The farm members care about the environment through an irrigation system that collects rainwater to ensure that there is continuous irrigation for the farm, and coffee is grown under the shade of trees in this protected forest, while providing Other crops such as oranges, avocados and mangoes, which contribute to providing additional sources of income for the farm and contribute to the diversification of food sources for the world's people, and the farm and its dwellings are operated using solar energy to contribute to preserving the environment.
