Frequently Asked Questions

What's the difference between this and an external S/FTP cable? This one is internal with an orange LSZH sheath and laminated shielding (F/FTP). The external one has a black PE sheath and an additional copper braid (S/FTP) that provides higher protection against interference, but it's heavier and thicker and not suitable for indoor installation.

Is F/FTP sufficient, or do I need S/FTP? F/FTP is sufficient for standard indoor installations and data centers. S/FTP is preferable near sources of strong interference, such as heavy power cables and motors.

What is the maximum speed range? 10 gigabits up to 100 meters per link, according to the Cat6A standard.

Does it need grounding? Yes — armored cables need proper grounding from the distribution panel side for the shielding to work as it should.
