Menengic coffee 200 grams - 7.05 ounces
Menengic is the main plant for Menengic Coffee. It is a type of pistachio tree that grows wild in southeastern Anatolia, central Anatolia, and the upper parts of the Mediterranean region in Turkey. This plant, known as Pictacia Perebinthus in Latin, called Çitlembik, Çıtlık, Bıttım, and Çedene depending on the regions where it is cultivated, grows slowly and can reach up to 10 meters. Although it grows in all types of soil, it produces the best yield in dry, soft soil.
Menengic blooms red and turns blue/purple when ripe. The mature seeds are collected, washed, and then dried. After drying, they are roasted like coffee until they turn dark brown. After the normal roasting process, the coffee beans are ground until they reach a dough-like consistency. The oily, granular dough obtained is called Menengic Coffee.
Menengic coffee does not contain caffeine like other types of coffee. Because it is completely natural, its benefits are countless. It is good for helping with shortness of breath, vocal cords, respiratory system, stomach, and kidneys. It also has an aphrodisiac effect. It contains protein, fiber, fats, phosphorus, calcium, iron, potassium, vitamin A, vitamin B1, vitamin B2, vitamin B6, vitamin C, and vitamin E, and has no known side effects. As with everything else, it is beneficial to consume this beverage in moderation.
Unlike Turkish coffee, Menengiç coffee relaxes the stomach and facilitates digestion.
Menengic is cooked in a pot over low heat like Turkish coffee. Two teaspoons of Menengic coffee, a cup of milk, and sugar (optional) are added to each cup. It is boiled twice with continuous stirring. It can be served with nuts and water.
It has an oily pistachio-like aroma and a smooth taste.
Enjoy your meal.
