The cold slowly creeps like a twisted snake, sneaking through the folds of the shabby blue cloak, gripping the bones mercilessly. I tried to count time through my breathing, but my own breaths were suffocating in a chest that the world had narrowed. I closed my eyes seeking a corner in memory to take refuge in, but the images that came were distorted, torn, as if someone had ripped them apart and thrown them in front of me to increase my bewilderment inside this big grave.
