Justification and rejection, authored by Ernesto Sabato

Some readers and friends urged me insistently to collect these works that were published in a number of literary magazines and journals in Buenos Aires into one work. I hesitated many times - as usual - until I ended up agreeing to their wish; perhaps to not disappoint them, hoping they are not wrong. In any case, I want to dedicate these articles to them; for following with passion, generosity, and sincerity my steps and my setbacks throughout these difficult years, and they were a help to me in overcoming depression and frustration and empowered me to write these pages that deal, in one way or another, with every human's destiny and the meaning of his existence.
