African clay turtle

African Mud Turtle, in Arabic called: the African Mud Turtle or African Clay Turtle. Its type: It is a semi-aquatic freshwater turtle that lives in calm waters such as swamps, ponds, and slow rivers in Africa. It is characterized by its small size, cute shape, and ease of care compared to some other turtles. Its shape: The shell color is often dark brown or black. Its size is usually between 15 to 20 centimeters approximately when mature. Its body is strong and it likes to hide in mud or sand. Its temperament: Somewhat calm but may be shy at first. Over time, it gets used to its owner and its environment. Suitable for keeping in aquatic tanks. Care and attention: 🐢 Tank: It needs a suitable water tank with a depth that allows it to swim. It must have a dry area (platform or rock) to climb on and rest. 🌡 Temperature: Water temperature around 24 – 28 degrees Celsius. Preferably with a heating lamp and UVB lamp for the dry area. 💧 Water: Water must be clean with a filter because turtles dirty the water quickly. Changing part of the water periodically maintains its health. 🍗 Food: It is mostly carnivorous and eats: Insects Worms Small shrimp Small fish Ready-made turtle pellets Sometimes some vegetables. 🪨 Environment: It is preferred to put sand or fine gravel in the tank. Adding hiding places like rocks or wood helps it feel safe. ⏳ Age: It usually lives 20 to 30 years if properly cared for.
