The events of this novel revolve around the life of the hero who joins the army due to his mother's fear for him, after his father gouged out the eye of a person from a neighboring village, when the customs of revenge and retaliation were at their peak. His mother sent him to the army despite him being her only son. Many historical, social, and political events are told to us in this novel in an engaging style.
