A book that includes selections from "Prison Notebooks" by the famous Italian thinker Antonio Gramsci and translated by Syrian poet Saba Qassem. And the Prison Notebooks is a series of articles written by the Marxist Italian thinker Antonio Gramsci as he was imprisoned by the Italian Fascist regime in 1926. The notebooks were written between 1929 and 1935, when Gramsci was released from prison to a medical center due to his health deterioration. His friend Piero Siraffa provided him with writing tools and notebooks, and Gramsci died in April 1937.
