And the sun shone again

I thought again about all the options I was deprived of, and about freedom.. Despair was a choice, hatred was a choice, anger was a choice, and I discovered that I am still able to choose, so this idea shook me. I can choose between surrender and resilience, so hope itself is a choice, faith is a choice, and most importantly, love is a choice, and compassion is also a choice.
