Rejoice, oh my heart

Rejoice, oh my heart A brief about the book: "Please, oh hidden bird, tell me about the end of my story before the last point, for your voice was known to me, and I heard all my story from you, and perhaps my oud box was filled with it." Ghassan, the musician and oud player, emigrates to New York fleeing a family tragedy, dreaming of a new identity, rejecting his father's tyranny and his betrayals of his mother, and distancing himself from Noor, his eternal spiritual love. In New York, he falls in love with Kirsten, a professor of Sufism, a lover of the East and its music, who is older than him. Rejoice, oh my heart is a novel about music, love, belonging, and the struggles of brothers driven to different tragic fates.
