Features Asus Prime Z790-P Plus DDR5 | Asus Prime Motherboard Plus: Cooling The PRIME Z790-P motherboard design uses multiple integrated heatsinks and a set of hybrid fan connectors to ensure your device stays cool and stable under intensive workloads. M.2 heatsink The flexible M.2 heatsink with removable screws cares for the M.2_1 or M.2_3 slot, preventing throttling that may occur with M.2 storage during continuous transfers. VRM heatsinks and thermal pads The large heatsinks cover extensive surface area of VRMs and bottlenecks to improve heat dissipation. With specially designed thermal pads, these heatsinks enhance heat transfer from MOSFET transistors and bottlenecks to improve cooling performance. Robust power design Power stability is essential to extract maximum performance from Intel® processors. The PRIME Z790-P board is designed to meet the demands of these high-core processors. ProCool connectors The board’s connectors enhance motherboard connection to power supply unit with 4 + 8-pin connectors passing 12V power directly to the processors. Each socket features solid pins that handle higher current than hollow-pin connectors. 14(50A)+1(60A)+1 power phases The 14(50A)+1(60A)+1 power phases combine high and low side MOSFETs and drivers in rated packages up to 60 amps each, providing power, efficiency, stability, and performance for the latest Intel® processors. AEMP II for optimal DDR5 memory performance ASUS Enhanced Memory Profile II (AEMP II) is an exclusive firmware feature for memory modules limited by PMIC. AEMP II relies on the CPU and memory unit’s ability to train memory chips in your device, providing an improved clock speed that unleashes performance effortlessly. Thanks to its flexible training design, AEMP II makes overclocking memory easier while maintaining system stability, whether you want to maximize a basic unit or set up a high-speed unit for optimal performance. Results may vary depending on your CPU and memory capabilities. The comparison table is based on testing with an Intel® i9-13900K processor and two SK Hynix DDR5-4800 memory modules without system ECC, 16GB model HMCG78MEBUA081N. Ensure all memory modules are from the same approved kit. Do not mix DIMM modules from different kits, even if from the same brand and model. Mixing and matching DIMMs may cause boot failure, and compatibility cannot be guaranteed. Always install DIMMs with the same CAS latency.
