Green wheat ripening

Gen and his mother continue the struggle for food and shelter amid chaos and human suffering, and despite facing more of the most despicable human traits, Gen always acts with love and compassion. "Be strong like wheat, wheat produces sprouts in the harsh winter, and is trampled many times so its roots cling strongly to the ground and its sprouts grow straight and become great fruits, be strong like wheat." Gen loses a lot in the fourth part and learns more on his journey to find his kidnapped sister and the money needed to survive. He faces American soldiers on Japanese lands, and faces the psychological problems of the victims of the bomb. Translation: Maher El Sherbini
