Jaffa - Nibal Qandas

She examines the dusty mirror hanging on the bare wall. It is the only mirror in this empty house. She wipes her cold fingers across the mirror's face searching for a new face beneath the accumulated dust. But the same face appears to her each time, the face that came from behind nights of staying up and tears of waiting that she sheds every evening while flipping through her diaries or fiddling with old photos.
