Product description

For the first time, a dictionary has been issued arranging the deities and gods of the ancient Arabs alphabetically. The importance of this dictionary lies in the fact that the religious life of humans did not know diversity and multiplicity as it does in "Arabian Peninsula." This geographical area of the world has, commercially and politically, enabled it to fuse the beliefs of the peoples and civilizations that visited it through trade or invasion from early stages of human history. In the religion of the ancient Arabs, we find planetary gods, gods of fertility, and gods of death... and this diversity comes as a natural progression of the development of Arab religious thought, of which Islam was the final chapter, extending from the Arabian Peninsula to the entire world. In this dictionary, the author was able to compile the names of hundreds of idols and deities, some of which are commonly known due to the focus of researchers on them, but many of which remained unknown.
