The reader and sensor are designed to replace blood glucose testing in diabetes self-management, including insulin doses.
For children (ages 4 to 12), use is limited to those who are supervised by a caregiver who is at least 18 years old.
The caregiver is responsible for supervising the child or assisting the child in the use of the reader and sensor, as well as interpreting or assisting the child in interpreting the glucose readings that the sensor displays to the child.
The FreeStyle Libre 2 Flash Glucose Monitoring System (the "System") consists of two parts: the handheld reader and the disposable sensor, which you wear on your body.
You use the reader to wirelessly scan the sensor and view your glucose readings.
The reader only works with FreeStyle Libre 2 sensors and cannot be used with other sensors. The Freestyle Libre 2 sensor automatically communicates with the reader and can alert you about your glucose level if you choose to turn it on. The reader also includes an internal measure for blood glucose testing and ketone testing.

The probe must be removed before the magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) is performed.

Unless the use of the system is evaluated with:

The use of the system in conjunction with other implanted medical instruments, such as pacemakers, has not been evaluated.
The system has not been evaluated for use by people undergoing dialysis, or children under 4 years of age.

Store the sensor packaging at a temperature of 4°C to 25°C. While you don't need to keep the sensor packaging in the fridge, you can keep it in it as long as it's between 4°C and 25°C.

Do not reuse the probes. The probe and probe applicator are designed for single use. Reuse may result in a poor glucose reading and infection. It is also not suitable for re-sterilization. Increased radiation exposure may cause inaccurate results.

The reader is designed for use with FreeStyle Optimum Blood Glucose Test Strips, Ketone Test, and MediSense Control Solution.
