Product description

The Grandstream GWN7670 is an indoor dual-band Wi-Fi 7 access point rated at 3.6 Gbps aggregate wireless throughput and up to 256 concurrent clients. Two 2.5G Ethernet ports and PoE power make it a practical first Wi-Fi 7 upgrade for offices, shops and classrooms.

====

The Grandstream GWN7670 is a dual-band Wi-Fi 7 access point for indoor spaces, delivering 3.6 Gbps of combined wireless throughput across 2.4GHz and 5GHz and handling up to 256 devices at once. Two 2.5G ports and PoE power keep installation simple. It fits offices, retail floors and classrooms that want Wi-Fi 7 speeds without paying for a 6GHz radio they may not use yet.

Grandstream GWN7670 specs at a glance

Each band runs 2x2:2 MIMO. The headline numbers from Grandstream:

  • 688 Mbps on 2.4GHz.
  • Channels up to 160 MHz wide on 5GHz.
  • 32 SSIDs, 16 per radio, for separate staff, guest and camera networks.
  • Up to 175 m coverage, depending on the building.
  • Maximum transmit power of 27 dBm (2.4GHz) and 25 dBm (5GHz).

What Wi-Fi 7 changes in practice

The GWN7670 supports MLO, 4K-QAM, MRU and Preamble Puncturing. MLO lets a compatible laptop or phone use more than one band at the same time. 4K-QAM packs more data into every transmission when the device is close to the AP. Preamble Puncturing skips the noisy slice of a channel instead of abandoning the whole channel. Older devices still connect normally, since the AP also speaks 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/ax.

Dual 2.5G uplinks and PoE

Two 2.5G WAN/LAN ports give 5 Gbps of wired capacity, which matters because Wi-Fi 7 can outrun a standard gigabit link. The AP runs on 802.3af or 802.3at PoE and adapts its power use to what it detects. Bluetooth Low Energy 5.3 and a Kensington lock slot round out the hardware, the latter useful in lobbies and shops.

Management and security at no extra cost

  • Embedded controller in the web UI manages up to 50 Grandstream APs.
  • GDMS Networking cloud platform is free with no AP limit.
  • GWN Manager, an on-premise controller, scales to 50,000 APs.

Security is built into the hardware: secure boot, a unique certificate and random default password on every unit, plus WPA3 and WPA2 Enterprise.

Compatibility with your existing network

The GWN7670 serves every Wi-Fi generation from 802.11b to Wi-Fi 7, so older printers and handsets keep working. Existing Grandstream GWN access points can sit under the same GDMS account or embedded controller, and VLAN, 802.1X and WMM let you split departments and prioritize voice and video.

Where it fits in Saudi Arabia

  • Corporate offices in Riyadh and Jeddah with daily video meetings.
  • Shops and showrooms that need a guest network and a separate one for POS terminals.
  • Schools and training centers where a full class connects tablets at once.
  • Clinics and waiting rooms where visitors browse on their phones.

GWN7670, GWN7670E or GWN7672?

All three are Wi-Fi 7. The GWN7670E has the same per-band speeds but one 2.5G port, up to 512 clients, a 3x3:2 5GHz radio and 802.3at-only power. The GWN7672 adds a 6GHz radio for 11 Gbps total, 384 clients and two 5G ports. Pick the GWN7670 when your switch only offers 802.3af PoE, or when you want the second port and Bluetooth.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will the GWN7670 run on a standard PoE switch?

Yes. It accepts 802.3af or 802.3at PoE.

How many devices can connect to the GWN7670?

Up to 256 concurrent clients, spread across as many as 32 SSIDs (16 per radio).

Does the GWN7670 support 6GHz?

No. It is dual-band (2.4GHz and 5GHz). For 6GHz, look at the tri-band GWN7672 or GWN7674.
