Product description
The Grandstream GRP2602 is a 2-line desk IP phone with 4 SIP accounts and a 5 V power adapter in the box, so it runs from any wall socket on any standard network switch. A practical pick for small offices, shops and branches without PoE.
====
The Grandstream GRP2602 is the base model of the GRP2602 family in the GRP2600 Essential line, and it arrives ready to run with a power adapter in the box. You get 2 line keys, 4 SIP accounts and a 2.41-inch backlit screen. Pick it when your office network runs on a regular switch or router with no PoE, and you want a phone that works the moment it is plugged into power and the LAN.
Grandstream GRP2602 at a glance
- 2 line keys with dual-color LEDs, up to 4 SIP accounts.
- 2.41-inch backlit graphical LCD, 132×48.
- Dual 10/100 Mbps ports with PC pass-through.
- 5 V / 600 mA power adapter included.
- 5-way audio conferencing and a 2,000-entry phonebook.
Why the adapter model instead of PoE?
Many small offices and shops get their network from the internet router or a basic unmanaged switch with no PoE. The GRP2602P would need a PoE switch there, or an adapter bought separately. The GRP2602 just needs a wall socket for its adapter and a cable to the switch. Keep in mind it cannot draw power from the network even if you add a PoE switch later, so if that upgrade is close, start with the P model.
One wall jack for phone and PC
The phone passes the network through its second port to the desk computer, so each desk needs only one network point. Both ports run at 10/100 Mbps, plenty for email, accounting software and web apps. Staff who move large files all day are better served by the GRP2602G with Gigabit ports.
Call handling for everyday work
Hold, transfer, forward, call park, call pickup, shared and bridged line appearance, call waiting and auto answer are all built in. The phonebook loads from XML or LDAP with up to 2,000 entries, and the call log keeps 800 records. Audio is HD wideband on both handset and speaker, with Noise Shield and AI noise reduction that help in open-plan offices.
Security and remote provisioning
Calls are encrypted with SRTP and signaling runs over TLS 1.3, with 802.1X, secure boot and encrypted storage on top. IT can provision phones in bulk through the GDMS cloud platform, TR-069 or AES-encrypted XML files, and push firmware over HTTPS.
Where the GRP2602 fits in Saudi Arabia
- Small offices and shops running on an STC, Mobily or Zain router plus a basic switch.
- Offices in rest houses, farms and warehouses with simple networks.
- Small branches that have no need for PoE switches.
- Replacing old analog handsets when moving to an IP PBX.
PBX compatibility and mounting
The GRP2602 registers to any SIP-based PBX, including Grandstream UCM6300 systems and Yeastar P-Series. On a UCM it provisions itself as soon as it joins the network. It sits on a 45° desk stand and wall-mounts with the GRP-WM-A bracket, sold separately.
GRP2602 or GRP2602P?
Both share the same keys, screen and 10/100 ports. The only difference is power: the GRP2602 ships with an adapter and has no PoE, while the GRP2602P runs on PoE and ships without an adapter. Have a PoE switch? Go with the GRP2602P. No PoE? This model means fewer parts to buy.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does the GRP2602 come with a power adapter?
Yes. A 5 V / 600 mA adapter ships in the box along with a network cable and the stand.
Can the GRP2602 run on PoE?
No. This version has no PoE and runs on its adapter only. With a PoE switch, choose the GRP2602P or GRP2602G.
Does it work with Grandstream UCM or Yeastar PBXs?
Yes. It works with any SIP PBX, including Grandstream UCM6300 and Yeastar P-Series, and auto-provisions on a UCM.
